I have been so blessed to capture many special moments in people's lives, but this helicopter elopement I photographed last September was definitely one for the books! It was a moody day, with clouds hanging low in the sky, but that didn't dampen the spirits of Kat and Alex (who travelled all the way from the UK) who were about to say their vows.

The ceremony was held at Bow Lake, which is located along the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park. The stunning natural scenery served as a breathtaking backdrop. As the Kat walked down the bridge, Alex couldn't help but get teary-eyed at the sight of his beautiful wife to be. She looked absolutely stunning, with loose curls in her hair and a sparkling dress that caught the light in the most magical way!

After the ceremony, we headed over to Peyto Lake. The clouds lifted just enough for the mountains to come through, creating the most dreamy photos.

But the real adventure began when we headed over to Rockies Heli. We boarded a helicopter and flew up to the top of a mountain for sunset. The clouds were absolutely incredible, creating a moody and dramatic atmosphere.

Just as we were about to head back down, a snowstorm began to roll in. We left just in time, feeling exhilarated and alive from the experience. The helicopter ride and the incredible natural beauty that surrounded us made for an unforgettable elopement.

Being able to capture these special moments for my clients is what I live for. This elopement was not only incredibly beautiful but also a reminder of the power and majesty of nature. It was a day that the couple will always remember, and I feel so lucky to have been able to document it for them.
